YMCA opens its doors to the community for a free Hard Hat Tour of the new Xenia Y building

15 October 2018

[Xenia, October 15th, 2018] - Greene County is about to get healthier in mind, body and spirit. The Xenia YMCA is hosting a series of hard hat tours on Saturday, October 20th from 11–3pm where community members can tour the new facility, speak with staff and sign up to become a Y member. In addition, those who sign up will have their joiner's fee waived, will be given a certificate for a free youth program and will also join the new Y at the old Xenia YMCA membership rate before the membership price increase on November 18th.

The Hard Hat Tours will be open to the public and are completely free of charge. No RSVP or sign up is required. Guests should park at the building's parking lot located at 336 S. Progress Dr. in Xenia. All guests should wear closed-toe shoes as this is a live construction site. Dale Brunner, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Dayton, says he is excited to bring the Y's mission to the community. "The Y is more than  a place to work out – we're a place that happens when a community comes together with partners from across the Miami Valley to form something truly great. We can't wait to share our building's progress with you."

The Xenia YMCA will share the building with Central State, Clark State, Kettering Health Network, and the Xenia Adult and Recreation Services Center. The tours will cover all portions of the building and display the building's rapid progress and expanded services.
